Rainear’s Random Ramblings 2: MS/HS Students, Parents - once again there is no need to read this. Just decided to carbon copy the parents in case they like to read incoherent babble. Just hit delete. Students - you likely don’t need to read it either unless you are interested in the prizes. I’m thinking about making this a weekly thing. If there is a topic or story of interest that you would like to add to the Ramblings, just let me know. It was a great week if you like kids dressing weird and teachers dressing even weirder. Seems everyone had fun and perhaps we even squeezed in some educational material. Quotes of the Week:
Flashback of the Week: I’ve noticed lately a lot more guys wearing necklaces like we did back in the 80’s. Back in my day we called them “chains” and we were super groovy. I’m pretty sure we only wore them to copy the greats like Rob Lowe, Scott Bakula and “the Hoff”. The bad news is that it appears it goes against GCS dress code and the consequence is eating lunch by yourself, bummer. The good news is that if “chains” are back in style, then mullets are right around the corner. I can grow a sweet mullet. Homecoming: Seems everything turned out ok. We normally like to have rain at homecoming, but this year it was the only day of the week without rain. Go figure. The soccer team won the game, the seniors won the Spirit Cup, we have a new king and queen and a great time was had by all. Thank you for all of the participation. New Mascot: A new GCS Soldier was unveiled at homecoming. Sounds like there may be a competition to name him. Keep your ears open for updates. The first names that popped into my head were “Bob”, “Burton Guster”, and “Big Head”. Good luck trying to beat those. Thanks for listening. Don’t run in the halls. And eat your veggies.
